Now he has a daughter Jay-Z has got all poetical and has announced thanks to his new muse he will be dropping the B word, and we are not talking Beyonce.

In fact he doesn’t want anybody to use to word bitch. At least not in reference to his 10 day old daughter. The man who released the track 99 Problems, relieving us of any worry Beyoncé might be kind of a pill to be with, with the lyrics “I got 99 problems but my bitch ain’t one”.

I would have hoped meeting his wife might have put a stop to the use of the word bitch.

Now this poem to his daughter tells her why he won’t use the word any longer.

"Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn't think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it. No man will degrade her, or call her name. I'm so focused on your future, the degradation has passed. I wish you wealth, health and insight. Forever young you may pass. Blue Ivy Carter, my angel".

If this is poem is real, then good for Jay-Z, though it’s hardly the bravest stand to take, so forgive us for not congratulating him on this epiphany.

However it’s a little odd that someone famous for never writing his lyrics down would publish this rather personal verse.

Maybe it’s not Jay-Z but his fans who are a little tired of the bitch/ho lyrics, so wrote something to chivvy him along. One things for sure, if this is true, his back catalogue is going to be very slimmed down.  What rhymes with ‘respectable woman’?
